I’ve hit 36 years old and for a few years now I’ve wanted to contribute to an organisation or charity I can trust, where I know the money is actually working, getting to the people/family or children it is was meant to help, but for so many years I have resisted donating as I didn’t trust the system.
So now I have been given the opportunity to fund raise for a worth while organisation, something I can believe in, a mission to ignite my dormant passion of contribution back to society, so in March next year I’m going to cycle 500klm over 5 days through Thailand with Hands aross the water, actually get to meet the people who do an amazing job at the other end, and to meet the children and see where the donations will go to help and support them to have a brighter future.
On March 6th 2016 I will take on this challenge, I’m excited to take on a challenge that will push me out of my comfort zone and for my efforts help other people. I’m looking forward to meeting the children in the orphanage in Khao Lak.
So with your support and the support of my business – Emu Run Experience, I hope to raise well over $5,000, all of this money will go directly to the charity.
Hands Across The Water support 700+ kids over 7 locations across Thailand. Importantly, 100% of the sponsorship dollars you contribute goes directly to the Thai children and their community – the Hands charity does not spend any donors’ money on administration.
